SITUATIONIST

SITUATIONIST

Irakli Rusadze is a Georgian fashion designer born in 1991 in Tbilisi. From an early age, he developed a deep interest in fashion, with a particular focus on pattern making and garment construction. By the age of 15, he was already working independently, creating bespoke pieces for private clients while simultaneously attending pattern-making classes to refine his technical skills. After building his first portfolio, Irakli went on to work as a pattern maker, cutter, and junior designer for several Georgian fashion houses, gaining hands-on experience across all stages of the design and production process. A few years later, he presented his first collections under his own name, marking the beginning of his independent creative path. In 2016, together with photographer Davit Giorgadze, he founded the label Situationist. That same year proved pivotal for the Georgian fashion scene with the launch of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi, which brought international attention to the country’s emerging designers. Situationist’s early collections quickly attracted critical and industry interest, leading to an invitation to present on the official Milan Fashion Week calendar as a guest brand. Following this debut, the label received its first major international orders, prompting Irakli to structure and expand the atelier to support growing demand. Since then, Irakli Rusadze has presented his work on numerous prestigious platforms, including Milan Fashion Week, the International Fashion Showcase organized by the British Fashion Council, Shanghai Fashion Week, Pitti Uomo as a guest designer, and exhibitions at the National Gallery of Tbilisi. 2026 marks the official runway debut of Irakli Rusadze and Situationist on the Paris Fashion Week calendar.
