Ketevane Maissaia is an Accessories Designer based in Paris.
Founder of Le mocassin zippe, a mono product footwear brand, produced in her home country, Georgia. Made out of high quality French leather and Georgia’s shoemaking know-how. Le mocassin zippe is a timeless and unique product. Sold in selected boutiques worldwide.
She gained experience by working at Hermès in the Leather Goods department, as well as at Maison Margiela as a Bag Designer, and currently working for Loewe bags team.
She studied fashion in Paris at Atelier Chardon Savard and IFM (institut Francais de la Mode). While studying she interned at Hussein Chalayan and Alexander McQueen.
Inspired by Soviet Architecture, she also produced Ketevane Maissaia’s Eyewear in collaboration with Thierry Lassry. Sold at Colette (Paris) and other concept stores.
Ketevane grew up in Tbilisi Georgia, and got interested in Fashion in early age.
She is very much connected to her country and her work is mostly inspired by Georgian mystical culture and Post Soviet lifestyle, mixed with western perceptions.
