Founded in 2012, DB Berdan is a young, unconventional London based fashion label that loves to use their own prints to tell their story. They have their biggest inspiration from the streets and underground cultures. Unifying music, film and performance, DB Berdan is a sharp reaction to social matters. With their love for sarcasm, DB Berdan focuses on individuality with a dash of surrealism!
Their AW 2017 collection have been executed their show under the name of “Mercedes Benz Presents DB Berdan”. They have collaborated with international corporations like Starbucks, Nescafe, Braun, Redbull, Bioderma, Disney Company, Douglas Cosmetic, Ikea, Sunglass Hut, Macro Center, Maybelline NY, and have also designed Katy Perry a costume for PepsiCo. In 2013, inspired by the movie “Oz The Great and Powerful”, they designed 4 costumes for the European launch of the movie in LWF Somerset house with Nicholas Kirkwood. Also, they were the first Turks that got into the international press release.
Deniz Berdan started her career as a fashion editor. She has concluded designing and designer consultancy into her 11 years of editing. Deniz is also interested in street art and has been doing rapidography and illustrations for a long time. She has raced in race courses and rallies. She raced as a fully licensed rally pilot in Europe and as second factory team in the Turkey championship.
Her daughter Begum Berdan gained upper second class honors by completing BA Costume For Performance at London College of Fashion in 2015. Before that, she had completed foundation at Central Saint Martins. She loves working with the movement and enjoy combining historical figures with underground cultures and contemporary art.
