George Keburia knows how to add some polish to the underground cool vibe that Tbilisi is known for. He held his show in the basement of the Iota Hotel, a setting that acted as a sort of reference to his style. The hotel itself is posh, but he found the most retro, kitsch part of it: a basement with wood paneling and lime-green chairs. As for the clothes, they looked straight out of a (well-tailored) late-’80s prom. A cropped blazer and a corset top, both of which had an elegant but slightly absurdist feel with puffy mutton sleeves, seemed inspired by Julia Roberts’s wardrobe in Pretty Woman.
