The brand’s third collection is dedicated to warm memories and tiny details filling each Moldovan village. Intangible treasures, whose shadow is always deep within the heart. Our tribute to a heritage that has surrounded and influenced us since childhood. The sense of intimacy, unity and pride.
Moldova is a small European country with an ancient tradition and a permanent population exodus. In most families the question of moving is an issue since childhood, associated with the right choice. This difficult question came up for us last year, so we wondered if we was leaving, what would we want to take with us?
Chisinau, where we grew up, is a small town — even strangers can be seen twice and they no longer seem so unfamiliar. You can see the fields from some of the city’s streets. During childhood, we often went to the neighboring area of the city to pick apples.
At wintertime, the local kids come knocking at our door and caroling: singing songs and sprinkling rice. In early spring, we tie small red and white woven figures – “martsishores”, on the tree branches.
The village houses have a lot of embroidered pillows with a white hem, the walls and ceiling are colored with light blue limestone. The smell of freshness. The tiniest moments formed our warmest memories, formed our identity. An endless love for home.
