BIO:

Designer Liya Goglidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and grew up in Moscow and Vienna. She got her BA degree in Fashion and Arts at POLIMODA school of design in Florence and later continued her Fashion studies in Milan at the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design).

Subsequent to finishing design degree in Florence and Milan, she applied for studies of Visual Arts and History of Arts at Vienna University in Austria, while simultaneously working at local modern galleries and on various art projects until the graduation in 2010.

Liya moved back to her native country in 2015 to start kids’ clothing line “INKYGOLD” with her business partner and co-founder Anna Mchedlishvili. The first INKYGOLD store opened in Tbilisi, Georgia in October 2015 and in 2017 was founded LIYA.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

New women’s wear brand “LIYA” debuted in 2017 with F/W 17 ready to wear collection at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi and has been since highly popular among press, bloggers and buyers.

Our S/S 2018 has been presented @MBFWT for the second season. LIYA jewellery line is hand-made and gold pleated earrings which have been hit among our customers.

LIYA’s main characteristic of the style can be described as classical minimalism with decorative touch. Main inspiration behind the brand is always the 1980’s office look re-invented into progressive and fast-paced 21st century lifestyle.

The brand is already selling internationally and are present at online shops such as FarFetch.com, Moreislove.com, bitsandpieceskw.com, malatstore.com, tata-la.com and flagship store is coming in december 2018 Tbilisi, Georgia.
