Jean Gritsfeldt, a Ukrainian fashion creator with German roots known for large-scale shows in the most unusual places, decided to pay tribute to the nature of his homeland and the revival of the prime source – the main force inspiring new ideas. This season, the designer will present the “Beginning of the World” collection at Tbilisi Fashion Week. This year, the designer’s “interplanetary” collection is dedicated to dreamers and tells a story about the Universe. The planet has entered the Age of Aquarius, focused on unifying cosmic laws into a single neural network. The collection manifests freedom of choice and determination, allowing one’s nature, opening the heart to self-love, as well as inclusivity and acceptance at all levels. As a messenger of peace and freedom, Jean Gritsfeldt believes that we are co-owners of the Earth, our home, and we are its children.
He is convinced that, despite apocalyptic predictions, each of us chooses the vector on which to build our own lives and moods. The collection features cosmic prints, accessories made from recycled plastic, the designer’s favorite sequins, and embroidery. The visual series of the show is created using artificial intelligence technology, which serves as nothing more than a supportive tool in the hands of the artist.
The range uses bio-based, recycled fibers and materials made of recycled plastic bottles. Sweaters are made of loose jerseys from the dead stocks, which is the recycling of old things to make new ones. We give new life to materials, but do not dispose of them. We use fabrics combined with natural botanical dyes made of natural sources such as plants. With Jean Gritsfeldt you can make sustainable choices without compromising on style.
