Biography

The creative director Ani Datukishvili has graduated from Central Saint Martins (London) in 2012 and also from Istituto Marangoni (Paris) in 2015. After several internships in Paris she moved back to Georgia. Her first collection was a collaboration with Georgian brand – Dalood, which was presented at the show in Tbilisi and was published in Vogue.

In 2016 designer founded her brand – Ani Datukishvili and presented the collection of SS17 at TFW. This collection was published in major magazines like Vogue, Elle, Nowfashion, W magazine, etc. Under her brand, Ani had 4 runway shows. Every season there is more interest in her brand.

Ani is valued alumna of istituto Marangoni and she became an I’M Alumni Ambassador. As one of the best, she was chosen from many applicants to exhibit her FW18/19 collection at Generation Talent Event, orginized by IM and Suitex International. Exhibition was held in Milan at Fondazione Serbelloni.

Ani Datukishvili is a Tbilisi based luxury womenswear and accessorise brand founded in 2016 by Georgian designer Ani Datukishvili. After graduation from Central Saint Martins and Istituto Marangoni the designer has moved to Tbilisi and presented her collection at Tbilisi Fashion Week. Since then, brand had presented 4 collections during 2 years. Also presented at YouConcept showroom in Paris. Ani Datukishvili was chosen to exhibit FW18/19 collection at Generation Talent Event in Milan, organized by Suitex Internation and Istituto Marangoni.

Inspiration drawn from different movements of art are combined with complex constructions and handmade details. The brand embodies mixture of classical and modern silhouettes. There is always a playful mix of symmetry and asymmetry, geometry and draping, masculine and feminine, strictly black or white in every collection.

Every garment is made in Georgia, with carefully sourced Italian and French fabrics. The brand stands for its quality fabrics. Jacquard and silk organza are brand’s signature fabrics, which gives unique appearance to clothes.. Also brand creates its own exclusive fabrics and print patterns, which are mixed with hand embroidery. Brands strength is in its craftmanship.

The first Ani Datukishvili store opened in 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Collections are sold globally in multibrand and online stores. There is a big interest in a brand, collections are published in magazines like Vogue, Elle, Nowfashion, Wmagazine, etc.
